Students from Totton College ‘Skills for life’ department have kick-started World Book Day 2019 celebrations, proving that World Book Day isn’t only for primary school students. Students with a range of special needs including autism, cerebral palsy and down syndrome are attending college dressed in pyjamas whilst serving hot chocolate and biscuits to staff and fellow students for donations to help raise money for ‘Magic Carpet’ sensory equipment.

Totton College ‘Skills for life’ department provides courses for students with special education needs to help them achieve the independence and the skills they need to pursue the career they want.
Courses cover a broad range of subjects, including social enterprise, everyday living, independence, and social skills, and supported internships.
